The ongoing pandemic has changed our lives forever. There is no going back to the pre-COVID times, that’s for sure.
Does it mean that we won’t be able to carry on doing what we love and what makes us happy? Are things like travelling or going for a drink with a newly met friend to be cancelled? Is going for a holiday to a foreign country safe?
Adaptation is the key to finding yourself in the so called new reality- term officially used by the Spanish government.
In Amarilla Sailing Club we are quite lucky, because what we do is a rather low risk activity. Dinghy sailing is a sport that doesn’t necessary require you to be close to other people, which makes it a perfect for the times of the pandemic!

Stay safe, stay healthy, keep on dinghy sailing ⛵️
Your wellbeing is our priority. We will take all the steps necessary to make your stay with us safe and worry free. We are using single and double handed dinghies and bigger 2-4 persons Sigmas in the club. You will be either sailing on your own or with 1 or 2 crewmates. Distance will be easy to keep.

- If you charter a dinghy, there is absolutely no physical contact necessary with the staff members. We will prepare you boat and leave it for you!.

💻CANCELLATION POLICY
If Amarilla Sailing Club cancels a course due to the circumstances out of our control, we will refund you.
If you are unable to attend a course due to the COVID-19 pandemic (your flight is cancelled, you can’t travel abroad, you show symptoms etc.) and you let us know up to 3 days before the start of the course, we will fully refund you.
✈️FLIGHTS AND 🏕ACCOMMODATION
When booking flights and accommodation make sure that they are refundable.
Most airlines run special COVID cancellation policies and make it easy to modify your flight. You won’t need to worry about extra costs or loosing money while planning your holiday!

📌 A tip from us for booking accommodation! We advise you stay in apartments or villas rather than big hotels. It will minimise your chances of being forced to quarantine if other tourist has COVID-19.

🏖SAFETY IN TENERIFE
The number of cases in Spain is impressive! Should you worry then about visiting Tenerife? Absolutely not!
Tenerife is one of the islands of the Canary Islands and the number of COVID cases here is much much lower than in mainland Spain.
If you take extra precautions during your stay, you will lower any risks.
Remember that Tenerife is not a very densely populated island. Our school is located in a small marina and most places you will visit here are small towns or villages. Try to avoid big hotels, busy touristy places like Playa de Las Americas, shopping malls and so on.
There is plenty of remote beaches, hikes and you really don’t need to put yourself at risk!
Furthermore, the locals are very much concerned about their safety! They use masks in public spaces and always keep distance! While going to the beach with the locals it rarely happens that someone comes in a near proximity others.
